Brief
Self History:
Born in a small town outside of New Bern, N.C. Graduated from
High school in 1993. I didnt at the time know what i wanted
to be or what i wanted to do with my life, so i went straight
to finding a job to pass the time and make money. My first main
job was with an industrial company that made computer racking
and cable management products. For the first three years I grew
up and learned many technical and hands on skills, such as Poly
coating, tensil strength, tool and die, and supervision. In
the year that followed I was asked to move to third shift to
help balance out the work with the other employees that had
been selected. it was a small group of around 9, but later grew
to around 20 people. after the first month on the shift I was
asked to supervise the group being that i was the most qualified/experienced
of the group. I was at the age of twenty three. at the end of
that year they moved everyone that was there on the shift too
ether first or second shift. the only leading possition that
was open was on second shift so I jumped at the chance and supervised
up to 45 people. Durring the time on the shift I had decided
to go back to collage, at the time I had wanted to be an Industrial
Engineer. By the end of that year I had left the company and
decided to go back to collage full time. After taking around
20 classes and finding out exactly how boring the profession
I was going to college for really was going to be, I changed
my major to Computer Programming. I was working for a local
electrical company at the time to pay my way threw my schooling
until a better offer came along. Part time at a local computer
shop, doing anything from custom building to full network systems.
after a year of working there and needing better work hours
at the time i was offered a possition at a local yacht builder
company as a electrical mechanic. After three months of service,
my best friend who moved to Minnesota visited me and asked me
to move up with him. over night my mind was set and Ihad already
packed my truck and made the arrangements to move. A week after
i was settled in and had my bearings straight I found my self
in the emplyment of a industrial air conditioning company, doing
computer navigated control programming. Durring my christmas
Vacation i was asked if I was ever coming back to my home town
and was offered my old PC tech job back. After 9 months of emplyment,
and only knowing my best friend and those I worked with I found
my self making the decision to go back to doing the thing I
enjoyed doing the most and that i continue to do today.
