Was one of the weirdest moments I can ever recall.
Its not often i wake before the alarm screams for an hour, hitting
the snooze button a few times to get in just a few moments more
of rest. But today was different, I had the visions of screaming
and wild fire, then i woke up staring at my bedroom ceiling. I
dont watch alot of television but my remote was the first thing
i grabbed. i don't think i said a word i just sat there listening
to what was going on. Then the second plane hit. They showed all
the firemen scrambling to help who ever they could, it pulled
my memories back to the 5 years i was in my local fire company
back in N.C.. I've always been proud to have been one back home
(Station 32), i had hoped to re-enter once i returned there. You
would be surprised at the dedication it takes for a fireman, wether
it be a volunteer, or paid. Once your a member you feel obligated
to go no matter what the emergency. There are some fire companies
that barely are able to buy new gear, they use what they have
available even at there own risk. How many people do you know
that would risk and/or give there life for another. Then theres
the police officers they risk just as much, they just deal more
with people than nature. Yeah, we all hate being pulled over for
stupid shit like speeding (ive had my share, someone should smack
the guy who thought of a speed limit). The fact is who do we call
on when we need help? or when a house is on fire? To those who
gave there lives today ...salute. Its been almost a month since
my last entry mainly because of lack of personal time, the personal
time i have had ive worked to improve the web site as much as
i could and spent my time with my friends. Those who come to my
site often most likely have noticed my intro. page change a few
times. I have been learning more about flash lately and im working
toward doing a longer animation soon. The intro's are just a spawn
from its conception. In the last month ive had someone new in
my life (and yes AGAIN) and things have gone well so far. Guess
you could say my hope hasn't stopped.
